Hyatt Place: Great Tech Amenities

Last week I spent three nights in a Hyatt Place. The budding chain's goal is to provide lots of high-tech amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and a 42-inch LG electronics high-def LCD, to which you can connect your laptop, DVD player, or portable media device.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and loved the amenities. But I had to call the supplied tech-support line twice to make my Wi-Fi connection.

I'll have a full review of the hotel in an upcoming PC World column. For now, below is a video of the amenities in room 617 at the Greensboro, N.C., Hyatt Place where I stayed. (FYI: This particular property was formerly an AmeriSuites inn. As of this writing, the rooms are finished but the rest of the hotel is still being transformed into the Hyatt Place concept.)
